Cherokee Landing State Park is one of several state parks surrounding the beautiful Lake Tenkiller in Northeastern Oklahoma. I have been fortunate enough to live near this area for the past 15 years and frequently take advantage of what this park has to offer. The views of the lake and the bluffs are breathtaking. They offer disc golf, a basketball court, a volleyball area, and a spot to practice softball and baseball, not to mention several spots to move boats in and out of the lake. Are you ready for a family gathering? There are three pavilions ready for use and a playground for the kiddos. Book your camp spot conveniently online at Recreation.gov. Ready, set, go on your next adventure!
  • We drove from Qualls to Zeb on Burnt Cabin Road across the game preserve where we saw lots of deer. Cherokee State Game Refuge (WMA) has about 31,360 acres and it is located in southwestern Cherokee County. There is a rope swing hanging from a tree just east of the low water dam (to the right in the video)...a perfect place to jump in the water on a hot summer day!
