I have lived on Lake Tenkiller for 14 years now and I absolutely love it here. Parkhill, Oklahoma, AKA Keys America is one of the most beautiful spots on Tenkiller. This little community is thriving and offers such great views of the lake and some great pizza at Skeeters Pizza. I love the lake life here at Lake Tenkiller

Jincy's Kitchen in the hills south of Keys has great food and occasionally live music by local musicians. We were entertained last night by Doug York and Shane Keys while we were waiting for Debbie Rucker to cook our supper from scratch. I had chicken fried steak and John had the biggest cheeseburger I have ever seen. Debbie's great grandmother built this little general store in Qualls, Oklahoma back in the 1930s or before. It was featured in both versions of the film "Where the Red Fern Grows." Qualls is just east of the Cherokee Game Preserve on the west side of Lake Tenkiller. Keys is a lake community close to a bigger town. Want small town but don't want to give up on all your amenities? Well the community of Keys is what you need. Just minutes form Tahlequah but right on Lake Tenkiller. It has a great PK-12th school with a great football team! This community is for you!

I have been in the Keys are for many years. I love this area because it still has the "everyone is your neighbor" feel. it is a very tight community and if someone is in need, everyone pitches in. The area had a tornado and the community really pulled together. I would highly recommend this area for raising a family.
