Bibliophiles unite! Looking for a wonderful curation of books that are sure to delight? Look no further than Paseo's very own Literati Press. Located right next door to some of the city's best donuts (Holey Rollers--did I mention they are vegan, too?), this wonderful bookshop is also a publishing house.

Stop in to find unique gifts, art, and of course, books! The shopkeepers are lovely and friendly and have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to selecting a book. Not only will you find some of the best sellers, but you will also find books from local Oklahoma authors available for purchase.
Literati Press also hosts several book clubs based on the genre that you will want to check out.

Special tip: Mention you made a purchase at Holey Rollers, and you will receive a small discount on your book purchase!

After being closed for more than two years following a devastating fire, Sauced in the Paseo District has reopened and is better than ever! You can get a 20 inch pie or specialty pizza by the slice, and the selection rotates daily. With the addition of a friendly crew and a great beverage program, this is one of my top picks for pizza in OKC! If you're a big pizza fan like I am, this place is a must try.

Looking to warm up on a cold day? I suggest stopping by Goro Ramen in the Paseo district. In addition to the ramen options they always have, Goro offers a featured ramen every Monday night. If you can get it, the Birria ramen is one of the best soups I've ever had. If you're ordering from the regular menu, my recommendation is the Spicy Miso ramen made extra spicy by adding their house garlic chili bomb on the side. If you're looking for a drink I'd say try a Japanese Highball, they have a special machine that makes it perfect every time!
  • If you are ever in the Paseo Arts District, I highly recommend you try the Flamingo Tiki! With Hawaiian-themed decor and drinks, you can feel like you're island living right in Oklahoma City. Although they only serve drinks here, OSO Tacos is merely right down the steps. A perfect place to wait for your table and get your drink on! Whether it's girl's night, date night, or just an after-work drink spot, this place offers it all. My favorite thing about it was all the fun drink names. The unique names and flavors made it really difficult to choose!

The Paseo Arts District has so much to offer! Great food? Yes! Vibrant unique art? You got it! Nightlife? Yup! It's in this district you will find all of the above and more. This is a small neighborhood just north of downtown serving up a big attitude. Sit with locals at one of the numerous bars and restaurants, find something uniquely handmade by local artists at one of the fantastic art shops, or stroll the streets during the first Friday of the month gallery walk. Nearly 80 artists and 20 studios call this neighborhood their muse. Come see why!

The Paseo Arts District was built by G. A. Nichols in 1929 and was the first shopping center outside of downtown Oklahoma City. It was truly one of the first "lifestyle" centers, with shops, restaurants, and even at one time, a swimming pool! Originally called Spanish Village, you'll feel like you're out of town strolling through the original architecture, enjoying art and multi-cultural food and beverage choices at some of our city's most loved restaurants.

It's walkable and bikeable to so many neighborhoods, like Heritage Hills, Mesta Park, Jefferson Park, The Paseo, Central Park, Edgemere Park, Crown Heights, and more. So when your soul needs a road trip, but you can't get out of town, just head for the Paseo - you'll be refreshed and renewed!

Located in the vibrant Paseo District of Oklahoma City sits OSO taco and Baja tiki. This restaurant offers the perfect patio for a sunny day spent in Oklahoma City. Offering traditional and not-so-traditional items on the menu (hello street corn and loaded tater tots), this place has a lot to offer. If you are looking for the tropics without the plane ticket then be sure to order one of their many tropical drinks; some even served in an actual pineapple. Hello, paradise! Be sure to check out the eclectic stores and local art gallery shops nearby too!

    Paseo Arts District
The Paseo is home to over 20 galleries and more than 80 vibrant artists all within walking distance of each other on the curved, two-block street that has maintained its Spanish revival architecture with its original stucco buildings and clay roof tiles. Intermixed with the galleries are restaurants, art schools, boutiques, and other businesses. Paseo is a lively, bohemian area and the monthly First Friday Gallery Walk is popular for art shows and restaurant events.
  • Neighborhood Alliance named this neighborhood as its "2009 Neighborhood of the Year". The Paseo Arts District and Uptown 23rd are nearby, with amazing parks, and easy walkable/bike-friendly roads. You do not want to miss the chance of staying in this beautiful neighborhood. It also has easy access to l-235 and downtown.

  • Holey Rollers is located in the laid back Paseo Arts District. I stumbled on this place while shopping in the Paseo Arts District around Christmas time. I was just going in for a cup of coffee to warm up. Once I was inside, I then realized why this place has "Holey" in its name. The Donuts! I've never seen such a unique selection of donuts. They had Vanilla Bean, Salted Caramel, and Lemon Poppy Seed just to name a few. However, my first visit I devoured a vanilla with lavender donut. Today I had the blood orange with rosemary donut and a latte.

Both times the people working there have been extremely friendly and very accommodating. The place opens up to a large seating area in the back of the shop. There is also an outdoor area to enjoy coffee and donuts when the weather is nice.

Holey Rollers is now my favorite place for donuts. The Paseo Arts District has been one of my favorite places to go just to walk around and enjoy the cafes and shopping.

Whoa! This is my new fave. Holy cow. Everything is so fresh and homemade. Starting off, you will get a bowl of duros. It was explained to us that this is where doritos got their name. They are orange little wagon wheels with a delish chili lime seasoning. The chips and salsa were amazing! You get to pick two salsas to go along with a big helping of fresh fried tortilla chips. We ate so much we can't even describe all the wonderful flavors. We ordered vegan enchiladas with rice and black beans, carnitas and burnt ends tacos with rice and refried beans. They even make their own corn tortillas. I cannot say enough about this new little spot. Now I just can't wait for the nicer weather to sit out on their patio with a refreshing beverage in my hand!

We're partial to Dustin Oswald's showcase gallery. His work involves incredibly detailed pen and ink drawings, that come to life on paper. The shop also carries a series of screen printed shirts and hoodies, with designs inspired by everything from Thunder basketball to the characters in his drawings. Bombs Away just recently opened their bigger, better storefront at 3003A Paseo St, on the main strip in Paseo OKC.
  • Located in the historic Uptown district near Walker and 23rd, you'll find one of the finest pizza places in Oklahoma City. Pizzeria Gusto, Oklahoma's first Neapolitan pizzeria is a beautiful space that accommodates both large groups or couples looking for an intimate date. They have excellent beer and wine choices, with eleven draft beers from local and international brands, and always have fun and interesting specials of the day. My wife and I recently ordered a pizza special with figs, arugala, and prosciutto that was both unique and absolutely delicious. One of Pizzeria Gusto's outstanding features is the decor. It is an eclectic mix of vintage and modern ideas which include exposed brick walls, an open kitchen, crystal chandeliers, and a gorgeous bar that is just begging for you to grab a custom cocktail.

Gusto's pizza is made in the wood fired Napoletana style which comes from Naples, Italy. It is a thin pizza with made from Italian flour and tomatoes that cooks in 90 seconds. Their Stefano Ferraro "Gusto" oven was hand built in Italy and sits in the center of the pizzeria. Small plates, appetizers, salads, and scratch desserts are also offered, and the arancini (fried risotto balls with provolone), sopressata pizza, and ricotta donuts are especially good.

If you are looking for a fun place to enjoy a nice evening with family or friends, are looking to impress a client, or want to mix it up at a fun brunch spot, look no further than Pizzeria Gusto.
