Why is Mustang, OK a great place to call home? I have lived n Mustang my entire life, other than four years in Stillwater for college. Real quickly, here are four simple reasons why Mustang is a terrific place to live.
    1) Location! Mustang is near major highways and just west of Oklahoma City. Not to mention Kilpatrick turnpike that also go through Mustang. It is easy access, easy commute, easy to get back and forth from Oklahoma City, Edmond, etc.
    2) Schools! Many people look to move into Mustang for the school district alone. Very uncommon for anyone to have much bad to say about the school district.
    3) There are many homes for sale in Mustang. We have luxury, first time home buyer homes, homes with land, brand new homes, etc.
    4) Mustang has everything you need right here. There are many restaurants to choose from, grocery stores, etc.

    Mustang, OK
Mustang, OK is a growing community just on the outskirts of Oklahoma City. It has very highly rated schools and is a great city for those that commute to Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman, etc, often but do not want to live in those larger cities. The city is booming with new businesses and restaurants. There is a reason why not many move out of Mustang.

If you haven't driven through Mustang lately, you may not have noticed the new businesses coming to town! Right in front of Lifechurch and Lowe's, there is a brand new strip, bringing Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Great Clips & Sport Clips, and The Lokal! If you haven't heard of The Lokal, they are a local restaurant just about 15-20 minutes up the road on Main Street in Yukon!
  • In 2017, the city of Mustang's Wild Horse Park unveiled a playground that allows those with disabilities to play alongside their friends without disabilities. The play area includes zip lines, tandem swings, and slides that don't require climbing.

The idea to create Brittany's Play Adventure came from Lynly Girder, whose sister-in-law; Brittany Girder, was born with Pallister-Killian mosaic syndrome (PKS), a rare genetic disorder that has Brittany functioning at a three-four-year-old level.

There are well over 1,000 children in the Mustang Public School District with special needs that benefit from having Brittany's Play Adventure to explore on. The Mustang High School helped raise funds for the playground as a way to show their support and to promote the inclusion of all regardless of their level of ability.

During the Spring, Summer, and early Fall you will find a melting pot of children, having fun and learning through their environment.
  • The Mustang Public Library has done a fabulous job of creating an exciting, educational venue for children and adults alike. Whether you like to read a physical book or ebooks, their catalog is massive. If you cannot find a title you are looking for, the Mustang Library is part of a large book loaning/sharing program that will locate the book you're looking for and have it shipped in for you to read. The library isn't just for books. You can find music or educational CDs and DVDs, periodicals and magazines. The online catalog included with your membership has an even more extensive catalog and also provides many study guides and practice tests for those preparing for professional certifications and licensing exams.

My favorite part of the Mustang Public Library is the many educational programs and various activities they host for the community. They make sure to hold a wide variety of classes and events for all ages and interests. For instance, they recently had a class on growing and caring for succulent plants. They host multiple game nights for all ages. There are weekly Preschool Storytime and a book club for young adults. There are classes on how to make piñatas for teens, tutorials on making your own Boba tea for adults, science experiments for school-aged children, nature hunts, classes on managing stress, and the list goes on! These events and activities create a positive association with reading and learning when children are allowed to partake in these fun, yet educational events starting at a young age. They enable an eagerness to learn. The Mustang Public Library is continually finding ways to keep our community engaged in life-long learning and bettering ourselves so that we can impart our knowledge to others in our community.

The City of Mustang is a growing place with a small town feel. The town features tons of events for the public, including a farmers market, tons of events at the Town Center, including Murder Mystery Dinners, clubs for kids and teens, and more! Even though Mustang is growing everyday, it still has a wonderful small town feel and is located within minutes of interstates and the turnpike!
